    in Let's Talk Bonsai

Imatinib is an oral chemotherapy medication used for the treatment of cancer. It works in order to stop the Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinase. The recommended dose of imatinib is taken by mouth.

is specifically used for chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) and Ph+ acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), certain types of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES), chronic eosinophilic leukemia (CEL), systemic mastocytosis, and myelodysplastic syndrome.

The use of imatinib during pregnancy may be responsible for causing harm to the baby.
