
Pomalidomide, also known as an analogue of thalidomide, is approved by the FDA to treat patients with multiple myeloma who have already been treated with at least two prior therapies i.e. lenalidomide and bortezomib. The pomalidomide cost may vary depending on branded to non-branded drugs.
The standard dose of pomalidomide should be administered on an empty stomach (at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after a meal). Missed doses of pomalidomide may be administered if within twelve hours of the usual dosing time of pomalidomide. Capsules should be placed in a cool, dry place and protected from light.
