Ribociclib: As a Targeted (Biological) Therapy

    in Let's Talk Bonsai

Ribociclib is the generic (non-branded name). When prescribed in order to treat breast cancer, it is taken alongside endocrine therapy. It falls under targeted (biological) therapy.

Ribociclib side effects are minimal including decreased blood cell counts, anemia, nausea, and diarrhea.

The recommended dose of ribociclib is given as three 200mg tablets (600mg) that must be administered whole through water, at about the same time every day. Ribociclib can be administered either with or without food.
