    Therapy for Hypercalcemia of malignancy

    in Let's Talk Bonsai

Zoledronic acid, a bisphosphonate works in order to attach itself to the bone and slowing down the rate of bone change.

The is around 2,093 INR for a supply of vial of a single injection.

It is used in order to prevent bone complications, e.g. fractures, in adult patients with bone metastases and in order to reduce the amount of calcium in the blood in adult patients where it is excess due to the presence of a tumor.

Zoledronic acid must only be administered by healthcare providers trained in administering bisphosphonates intravenously, i.e. through a vein.
