Why is my Xfinity Modem blinking orange light and how to resolve it?

    in Let's Talk Bonsai

Your Xfinity Modem has multiple LED status lights which indicate a specific issue. If you see an Xfinity Modem orange light, it means the hub is connecting at 10/100. Any communication issues can also trigger this error. Here’s how you can fix this:

    1. Disconnect all the cables from the modem including the power adapter from the electric socket.

    2. Wait for two minutes and connect all the cables back to the relevant slots.

    3. If the issue persists even after executing the steps listed above, check if the Ethernet cable connecting your modem and the router is in proper condition. Replace it if required.

    4. Reset the router. Press and hold the reset button of the modem for 10 seconds and release it.
